Winter Fly Patterns: Midges, Eggs & More Midges

I hate to admit it as much as the rest of you but winter is closing in and as the cooler weather moves in it is time to fill your box with appropriate patterns. A lot of rivers have closed for the season but for those of us who are fortunate enough to have it year around these are the patterns I have in my arsenal. Glo bugs in various sizes, Blood midges, Black midges, Cream Midges and BWO nymphs. My sizes range from 18-24. The fish are keyed in on these patterns and don't like to move for them. So, get 'em deep and bounce it on their nose to keep your rod bent.
