Fly Fishing Christmas: Naughty Or Nice
Posted by joey on Saturday, December 01 @ 12:17:22 PST
Yeah that stinking money spending holiday is creeping in. What are you asking Santa for this year? Here are some ideas that can be good for stocking stuffers or a big box. Leaders and tippet material are always welcome on my tree, this stuff is used more than anything else on the river. Flies are good but really try to figure out what the angler uses before you go spend a fortune on flies that don't exsist. Capilene undergarments for those cold steelheading days are a safe choice. Waders and wading boots are items that could go in a big box. What's that? your angler already has a pair. Don't worry they all leak.
How about a new rod or reel? yes please. Go into a fly shop and really ask questions about this present, tell the shop dog what the angler uses know and what his/her capabilities are they will help you out. And last but not least a fly fishing trip, ooooh , this is a really big box but a Steelhead Trip to B.C or a Tarpon trip to Belieze will sure widen the eyes of any angler. Good luck too all. Anyone who gets the fore mentioned good for you.
