Last year at this time we did a New Years "Fishalution" post to see what peoples personal goals were. Lets see what you have planned or hope to accomplish in the new year. I hope to get the following things done in 2008. 1) Get a steelhead from the pacific. 2) Mako Shark on the fly. 3) Tarpon over 100lbs. Lets here it.

Rather than list out a bunch, I would like to focus on just one resolution. I have so many, but one might be better. This spring, I am determined to resolve a little bone I have to pick with some Delaware River brown trout. I have only fished the Delaware River once and it was amazing! Fishing were rising everywhere, literally at my feet. I had a few takes (or maybe they were just refusals) but either way, I saw some monster wild brown trout sipping flies and I just could not seal the deal that day. So, I went over to the Beaverkill. A nice river, but not the Delaware. Nice brown trout certainly .. but not the Delaware River Brown Trout that still haunts me until this day. So, one of my new years fishalutions is to trick, land and release a delware river Brown trout on a dry fly.
