When using the high sticking method while nymphing, do you use a strike indicator to? Also are there any other ways to get a good natural dead drift while fly fishing with nymphs?

Re: Nymphing: Drag Free Presentation by joey on Thursday, February 21 @ 07:36:33 PST | | If I am high sticking it is usually in shallow water where I can see the fish. If this is the case I will put a fly on that I can see (egg is good) as an underwater indicator. I will also watch the fishes mouth to see if it eats my fly. Otherwise I use an indicator, and fish deeper pools. I used my mending to maintain line control and decrease drag on my flies. |
