Tips, Ties And Tactics Tying Midge Patterns: Best Hook Type

I have been trying to determine what is the best hook to use when tying a hatching midge pattern. I am looking for the type of hooks and the producer of them.

I tied a lot of midges this winter and used the Daiichi fly hooks. I like the bead head nymph hook it had a nymph like shape to it and look more real when dressed. If you are looking for a hatching nymph pattern I generally will throw a Roys Special Emerger and it crush fish out here. This patteren can be used as a dry fly as well. It is #18-22 with a light orange tail, black body and white antron wing. This is tied on a traditional nymph hook. Good luck
